Lions

Lions are part of the cat family. The word lion comes from the word Leo. Lions have from 2 to 6 cubs at one at a time. The difference between a zoo Lion and a wild Lion is that a zoo Lion is trained and a wild Lion is not trained and they can attack people. I wonder what having a lion would be like.

Dolpins

Dolphins are very intelligent marine animals. Orcas and whales are similar to dolphins because they both live in the sea and are mammals. When dolphins give birth, the tail of the infant comes out first. When she /he is out the mother dolphin pushes the newborn to the surface of the ocean for the infant’s first breath of air. It is better for a dolphin to live in the ocean because they could die of germs in captivity. Dolphins are endangered because people kill them for meat. We must save these marvelous marine creatures from going extinct.

Leopards are big cats also known as black cats. Leopards seldom attack human beings however once they discover that people are easy victim’s leopards become more dangerous than tigers, or lions. My topic is about penguins. The biggest penguin is the emperor penguin because it is four feet (120 centimeters) tall. Titanic

The titanic was a big ship with lots of rooms and a big pool. The titanic was built in March 31, 1909. The construction took 3 years to finish. There were 2,200 passengers on the boat. A lot of the passengers died. There were only enough life boats to save the women and children. They should have had enough life boats for everybody so they all would have lived.

Saber-Tooth Tiger

The Saber –tooth tiger was extinct over 10,000 years ago in the world’s last iceage. The Saber-toothed tigers teeth were about 8 inches long. They ate large animals like elephants or ground sloths .I think that scientist and animals experts name them this way because of the two long teeth and they are similar to a tiger. The Saber-tooth tiger was a big tiger with big teeth. It would be cool if they came back to life.

Our topic is cats. Cats cough up hair balls because when they clean their bodies the hair gets stuck on their tongue and they accidently choke on it, then they spit it out. Every type of cat likes milk, veggies, eggs, fish and meat. Cats eat out of garbage when they have nothing else to eat. I wish all cats had a loving home and didn’t have to eat out of the garbage.

Horses

Horses are friendly animals that get along with humans. There are 130 different kinds of horses. There are no wild tamed horses. They are all domesticated. To ride a horse you need to have on the appropriate clothes and saddle. The equipment for the horses would be a bridle, girth, hackamore, reins and tack. If you use this equipment you are ready to ride. Researching horse has made me want to learn more about them. My opinion about horses is that they are mammals that you can get along with them easily.

Zebras

Zebras are wild animals that live in Africa or the zoo. Zebras eat grass and babies drink their mother’s milk. Babies Zebras weigh about 60 to 70 pounds but the adult Zebras weigh about 500 to 600 pounds. The benefit of living in a zoo is that in the wild they can get diseases. And in the zoo they protect you. And in the wild they can get killed by wild animals or can be hunted by poachers. But the zoo has walls to keep the wild animals out and people can’t kill them. I would rather be in the zoo then the wild if I were a Zebra. They take care of you I n the zoo but in the wild live you have to take care of yourself.

Dogs

Dogs can be a home pet or the can live in the wild. A female dog can have between 1-10 puppies at a time. Fleas are attracted to a dog’s fur and then they feed of their blood. It is best for dogs to live both a combination of outside and inside. Inside, they are protected from cold, rainy and snowy days. Outside, they can run and play!

Anacondas

Anacondas are a type of snake. Anacondas live in the tropical rain forest and swamps in South America. Anacondas eat small birds and animals. The world’s biggest Anaconda is over 38 feet long! Anacondas can blend in with trees. Anacondas also eat small rats and mice. If I were to find an anaconda I would catch it because anacondas are a great pet to me! I wish I had a pet anaconda.
